Life Line Diagnostic & Cardiac Hospital

ENT & Head Neck Surgery Care Centre

The ENT department at Life Line Diagnostic & Cardiac Hospital manages ear, nose, and throat conditions together with selected head-and-neck problems—combining outpatient assessment, endoscopic examination where appropriate, and theatre-based surgery when it is the best option for recovery.

About the department

Our ENT & head–neck centre

Hospital consultation environment for ENT care

From hearing loss and ear infections to chronic sinusitis, tonsil problems, snoring, thyroid swellings, and salivary-gland disease, our ENT surgeons assess symptoms with examination and appropriate investigations. We discuss both medical treatment—antibiotics, nasal sprays, voice rest—and operative options such as endoscopic sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, septoplasty, or thyroid surgery when benefits outweigh risks. Children and adults are seen in outpatient clinics, with emergency cover for airway obstruction, severe bleeding, or deep neck infection coordinated with anaesthesia and intensive care when required.

What we offer

Services

Ear & hearing disorders

Assessment of deafness, tinnitus, ear discharge, perforated eardrum, and dizziness linked to the ear—with microscopic examination and advice on hearing aids or surgery when indicated.

Nose & sinus care

Medical and surgical management of nasal blockage, polyps, allergic rhinitis, and chronic sinusitis including endoscopic sinus surgery planning after imaging review.

Throat & voice

Tonsil and adenoid symptoms, sore throat, hoarseness, swallowing difficulty, and sleep-disordered breathing—balancing observation, medication, and surgery for children and adults.

Head & neck lumps

Evaluation of neck masses, thyroid nodules, salivary-gland swelling, and mouth ulcers that persist—with ultrasound or fine-needle aspiration arranged through the hospital’s diagnostic services when needed.

Day-case & inpatient surgery

Planned ENT operations under general or local anaesthesia with pre-assessment, post-operative pain control, and clear follow-up instructions for wound care and return to work or school.

Recovery

After your procedure

Many ENT procedures are same-day or short-stay. We explain bleeding risk, when to restart normal diet, and signs that need urgent review—such as fresh blood from the nose or throat, high fever, or breathing difficulty. Voice rest may be advised after microlaryngoscopy; nasal saline rinses help healing after sinus surgery. Follow-up endoscopy or hearing tests are booked before you leave so you know the next step. If you take blood thinners or have heart or lung disease, tell the team early so anaesthesia and timing of surgery can be planned safely.

Frequently asked questions

Call the hospital number above or visit reception with any referral letter, hearing test results, or CT films if you have them. Staff will offer the next slot with Dr. Amzad Hossain or Dr. Krishno Krant Voum and tell you if you need to stop certain blood thinners before a procedure.
Bring identification, a list of all medicines and nasal sprays, and a short note of when symptoms started. For children, bring the child’s vaccine record if relevant. Avoid using nasal decongestant spray for 24 hours before endoscopy unless your doctor told you otherwise.
Sudden trouble breathing or noisy stridor, severe bleeding from the nose or throat that does not stop with first aid, rapidly swelling neck, high fever with drooling or inability to swallow, or sudden complete hearing loss in one ear should be assessed urgently. Mild sore throat or blocked nose can usually wait for a routine clinic.
Recovery varies by operation and age. Tonsil surgery often needs one to two weeks off school or heavy work with soft diet and painkillers as prescribed. After sinus surgery you may have packing removal visits and saline rinses for several weeks. Your surgeon will give a written plan before discharge.
