Life Line Diagnostic & Cardiac Hospital

Pediatrics (Child Care)

Our Pediatrics department cares for infants, children, and adolescents—from routine growth checks and immunizations to fever, breathing problems, and chronic conditions—with a gentle approach and access to the hospital’s laboratory, imaging, and inpatient services when needed.

About the department

Our pediatrics department

Life Line Hospital environment for families and children

Children are not small adults—their illnesses, doses, and emotional needs differ at every age. Our paediatricians see newborns through teenagers for preventive care and acute illness, and coordinate with surgery, ENT, cardiology, and other teams when specialist input is required. Parents are encouraged to ask questions about feeding, sleep, behaviour, vaccines, and school health. For sick children who need observation or fluids, admission can be arranged under paediatric cover with clear updates to families throughout the stay.

Frequently asked questions

Call the hospital number above or visit reception. Mention your child’s age and main concern (fever duration, rash, breathing, feeding, etc.) so staff can offer the next available slot with Dr. Rajib Datta or Dr. Anupom Das. Bring your child’s growth book or vaccine card if you have one.
Go to emergency for blue lips or severe breathing difficulty, drowsiness or confusion with fever, non-blanching rash, signs of dehydration in a young infant, persistent vomiting, or any sudden weakness. For mild fever with a happy playful child, a routine clinic slot may be enough—if unsure, call for advice.
Yes—routine and catch-up immunisations can be arranged through paediatrics or as advised by reception. Bring your vaccination card; the doctor will confirm which doses are due and if your child is well enough on the day.
Usually one or two caregivers are welcome; during busy periods or infection-control measures, the clinic may limit extra visitors. Ask reception if you need a third family member for language support.
